A Canadian, Michael qualified as a Master of Wine in 1995.  In addition to working with Opimian, Michael is the Toronto Club’s wine consultant and sits on the board of the Masters of Wine Endowment Company.  He is a contributing taster for The World of Fine Wine, which is published by Dorling Kindersley.  He lives near Oxford.
